Today we have written to the CEO of Grindr to raise the concerns of our supporters around their current stance on banning gay men who do not wish to have sex with biological women. This platform, originally an app for men wishing to meet men, is now a place where a growing number of heterosexual women identifying as gay men use homophobic slurs to describe themselves and those who assert the reality of biological sex face discrimination.
We have offered to meet with representatives of Grindr in the UK to discuss in more detail the issues raised by our letter. Read our letter here:
