We were delighted meet with UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and Girls, Reem Alsalem in London, along with so many other groups, including Lesbian Labour, Sex Matters, Safe Schools Alliance and The Lesbian Project, dedicated to the rights and safety of women and children, lesbians, gay men and bisexuals.
Before the meeting we prepared a detailed submission in response to the UN’s call for input.
This incredibly comprehensive piece of work focused on the impact of lesbians of the current legislation and reliance on activists interpretation of the law.
