On the GRR (Scotland) Bill

We are utterly dismayed by the result of the vote on the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill and thank Kemi Badenoch for her insightful intervention.

We believe the impacts for LGB people and for women and lesbians in particular of the implementation of this Bill will be profound. We will be launching a response in the New Year that highlights our concerns and which will build meaningful support for the legislative protections essential for LGB people.

We want to thank all those who made such impassioned speeches at the Scottish Parliament during the debate on this Bill. Thanks to all MSPs who voted against it, especially those who defied their party leadership to do so.
